blast, as security agents have disclosed that the bombing appeared to have been
carried out by a suicide bomber driving a Volkswagen golf car. A similar car
used for the bus station bombing some two weeks ago, a few meters away from the
Thursday night attack. The police claimed that 12 person died in the Thursday
night blast, however, eyewitnesses claimed more 30 people died in the blast.

While security agencies have condoned the area of an explosion this evening in Nyanya Abuja, response agencies have moved injured victims to hospitals and at least eight (9) lifeless bodies have been deposited in the mortuary while 11 unconscious victims are receiving medical attention in different hospitals in Abuja. Other injured victims too are being attended to.

According to a report by Punch, the UK and US government have joined the search for the 234 abducted schoolgirls from the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, by Boko Haram men.
