The 7 hour extraordinary meeting President Jonathan ordered with the Service Chiefs has ended in the state house. Briefing newsmen after the meeting, the Minister of Information, Labaran Maku said the meeting focused on the missing Chibok girls and yesterday's bomb blast.

Suicide Bomber Responsible for Nyanya Blast + More Photos

Fresh facts have emerged on the second Nyanya, Abuja bomb blast, as security agents have disclosed that the bombing appeared to have been carried out by a suicide bomber driving a Volkswagen golf car. A similar car used for the bus station bombing some two weeks ago, a few meters away from the Thursday night attack. The police claimed that 12 person died in the Thursday night blast, however, eyewitnesses claimed more 30 people died in the blast.

U.S offers to help Nigeria in hunt for abducted girls.

The United States has offered to help Nigeria in the search for the 200+ schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram men on April 14th.
"We have been engaged with the Nigerian government in discussions on what we might do to help support their efforts to find and free these young women," State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf told a daily briefing. "We will continue to have those discussions and help in any way we can."

While security agencies have condoned the area of an explosion this evening in Nyanya Abuja, response agencies have moved injured victims to hospitals and at least eight (9) lifeless bodies have been deposited in the mortuary while 11 unconscious victims are receiving medical attention in different hospitals in Abuja. Other injured victims too are being attended to.

Security and Response agencies have been alerted to an explosion in Nyanya, outskirt of Abuja City. The explosion is reported to have occurred close to the scene of the last incident.

According to a recently released study by EY, a global business and financial advisory firm, Nigerian bank customers have been rated the heaviest users of Automated Teller Machines in the world. The study also rated Nigeria as one of the top three countries whose bank customers use social media when making decisions on selecting a financial service provider. The study also shows that Nigerian bank customers have the highest banking sensitivity and are the second highest globally to close accounts based on poor experience.

UK, US join search for abducted schoolgirls in Borno state

According to a report by Punch, the UK and US government have joined the search for the 234 abducted schoolgirls from the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, by Boko Haram men.
