Fatal accident along Wuse Market Bridge in Abuja (PHOTOS)

A fatal accident occurred around 9.30am today along Wuse Market bridge in Abuja, leaving one person dead and three others severely injured. The cause of the accident is not yet known but many believe speeding could have been a factor.

The corpse of the accident victim has been taken to the mortuary while the injured have been rushed to National Hospital Garki, Abuja for medical attention. See more photos after the cut.

17 yr old Malala Yousafzai wins 2014 Nobel Peace prize

Wow! I am so proud of this young woman. Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani girl who was shot by the Taliban in 2012 for advocating women's rights to receive an education in her country, has just been announced as the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner...but she shares it with another person, Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian children's rights activist. He has been active in the Indian movement against child labour. They get $1.1million. Well deserving!

Nneameka Okorie, well known as Patoranking, has reccounted the days he slept on the streets of Ghana because he was homeless.

The celebrated singer spoke to Accra-based radio station, Starr 103.5 FM during his recent visit to the country and revealed that he was studying in a Ghanaian University in 2007 before he dropped out due to financial difficulties. SEE MORE........

250 students of Labone SHS sacked after failing exams IN Ghana

250 students of Labone SHS sacked after failing exams 
 Two hundred and fifty students of the Labone Senior High School (SHS) have been sacked for their abysmal performance in the end-of-year examination in July, this year.

The students, who had an average of four failures in eight subjects, were sent packing when the first term of the 2014/2015 academic year began.

Out of the number sacked, 155 of them were second-year students who were supposed to go to Form Three, while 95 were first-year students entering their second year.

Also, 171 students who had an average of three failures in the examination have been asked to repeat their forms.

South Africa seizes Nigeria's $5.7m in another secret arms deal bust

Three weeks after South African government seized $9.3million allegedly belonging to the Nigerian government, they have once again confiscated $5.7million arms money from Nigeria.

According to South African newspaper City Press, the money was seized by South Africa’s Asset Forfeiture Unit of the National Prosecuting Authority for allegedly being the proceeds of illegal transactions and even shared some documents. See the full report after the cut...

P-Square Endorses Beer Brand in Congo

Pop star Peter and Paul OKoye, P-square landed in Lubumbasgi, Katanga, Republic of Congo for a concert. According to information gathered by Julia Blaise Blog (JBB), the duo taken to the Skol Beer factory, afterwards it was announced that they are the brand ambassadors for the brand. Immediately after the proposal, the management of the brand had a press conference, which focused on their ambassadors.
